Me acabo de encontrar un caso extraño en el que al hacer un mount , root
aparece montado con usrquota
#mount
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 on / type ext3 (rw,usrquota)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
/dev/hda1 on /boot type ext3 (rw)
tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)
sunrpc on /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs type rpc_pipefs (rw)
Pero al verificarlo con las herramientas de Plesk, no valida la quotas
# /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/usermng --isquotable
usermng: Unable to turn on user quota. User quota not supported on
device '/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00'
System error 22: Invalid argument

[root@lb9 ~]# /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/usermng --isquotable

Al revisar el fichero /etc/fstab no aparecía root para quotas
#cat /etc/fstab
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults
1 1
Ajustamos las propiedades de montaje para root
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3
defaults,usrquota 1 1
y remontamos la partición con los nuevos valors
mount / -o remount
